CONTROL PANEL LIGHT DOES NOT LIGHT (Continued)
a.
Disconnect the red power wire from the back of the solenoid valve switch.
b.
Connect the positive (+) meter lead to the red wire and the negative (-) meter lead to the back of the
switch terminal.
c.
Turn the ignition switch ON.
(1)
If the volt-ohmmeter reads 12 volts, the wire is ok and the light assembly is bad. Replace the
light
assembly and go to Step 1d.
(2)
If the volt-ohmmeter does not read 12 volts, go to Step 2.
d.
Check the new light assembly. Turn on the light switch and ignition switch.
(1)
If the light comes on, the problem is solved.
(2)
If the light does not come on, go to Step 2.
Step 2. Check the red power line and connectors.
a.
If the wire terminal at the ignition switch is loose, tighten it and turn on the light. If it does not work, go
to Step 2c.
b.
If the wire connectors are disconnected, connect them and turn on the light. If it does not work, go to
Step 2c.
c.
Disconnect the female connectors and check the engine side with a volt-ohmmeter.

Connect the positive (+) meter lead to the hot side of the connector and the negative (-) meter
lead to the ground side of the connector.
(2)
Turn the ignition switch ON.
(3)
If the meter does not read 12 volts, replace the wire and the light.
