Remove hex nut and push switchthrough hole in panel. Use a soldering ironof 50 watts maximum to remove wires fromswitch terminals.p.To install new TRANSMITTER RESYNCswitch, solder wires to switch terminals witha soldering iron of 50 watts maximum.Insert switch through hole in panel from therear. Place hex nut over threaded portionof switch, and tighten to secure. Turn onswitch S1 on top of power supply.q.To remove tamper alarm switch (TAS)assembly, remove screws that secure TASto edge of housing. To disconnect wiresfrom switch, loosen screws that securecrimp lugs to switch.r.To install new TAS, slip crimp lugs underscrew heads on switch, and tighten screws.Insert switch from the back through hole inedge of housing, and insert screws from thefront. Tighten screws to secure switch.s.To remove connector receptacle J12, turnoff switch S1 on top of power supply.Remove screws that secure connector tobottom of status processor and unplugconnector by pulling straight down.Remove locking devices from ends ofconnector. Remove two screws that securejunction shell to cable, and slide shell alongcable to expose pins on back of J12. Tagwires. Slide shrink tubing on each wireaway from connector pin. Use a solderingiron of 50 watts maximum and carefullyunsolder wires from pins.t.To install new connector receptacle J12,check heat-shrink tubing on each wire incable, and replace if necessary. Work fromthe center outward with a soldering iron of50 watts maximum. Carefully solder wiresto pins on back of connector. Slide heat-shrink tubing down over each pin aftersoldering. Slide junction shell along cableto cover connector J12. Slip lockingdevices over ends ofshell/connector to secure shell toconnector. Insert and tighten screws thatsecure shell to cable. Align connectorreceptacle J12 with plug P1 on bottom ofstatus processor and press J12 into P1.Insert screws that hold J12, and tighten tosecure. Turn on switch S1 on top of powersupply.u.To remove mode switch, turn off switch S1on top of power supply. Remove large hexnut that secures switch mounting bracket toinside of CU door. Remove switch andmounting bracket together. Be careful notto lose the switch arm which is not securedto the switch shaft. Remove spacer andlock from door so no items will be lost.Remove small hex nut and lock washer thatsecures mounting bracket and switch stopto the switch shaft. Remove mountingbracket and switch stop. Note that modeswitch is a three deck switch. See figure 5-3 for switch terminal and wire identification.Tag wires and use a soldering iron of 50watts maximum to remove them fromswitch terminals.v.To install new mode switch, use a solderingiron of 50 watts maximum to connect wiresto switch terminals. Slip mounting bracketand switch stop over switch shaft. Ensurethat notch in mounting bracket fits over tabon switch body, and that tang on switchstop engages notch in mounting bracket.Secure bracket and stop to switch with lockwasher and small hex nut. Insert lockthrough hole in CU door, and slip spacerover lock. Slip switch arm over switchshaft. Ensure that arm is aligned with tangon switch stop. Place large hex nut insideswitch mounting bracket, and slip bracketover lock. Engage switch shaft in lock.Tighten nut to secure switch. Turn onswitch S1 on top of power supply.w.To remove the interconnecting wiringassembly from the status processor, turnoff switch S1 on top of power supply.Remove PC boards A1 through A11.5-124
