Wiggle the wire back and forth. If the meter fluctuates up and down, there is a break in the wire.
Replace the wire and go to Step 8b.

Start the engine.

If the engine starts, the problem is solved.
(2)
If the engine does not start, go to Step 9.

Check the coil.

Check the coil visually.

If the coil is cracked or broken, replace it and go to Step 8.
(2)
Remove the spark plug wire from the coil and check the connections for moisture.
If the
connections are wet, dry them and return the wire to the coil. Go to Step 9b.
