c. Check the continuity of the wires. Use a volt-ohmmeter.
(1)
Connect a meter lead to each end of the wire being tested and wiggle the wire back and forth.
(2)
If the wire conducts a current, go to Step 2.
(3)
If the wire does not conduct a current, or the meter needle jumps up and down, replace the wire.
Go to Step 1d.
d. Start the engine.
(1)
If the engine starts, the problem Is solved.
(2)
If the engine does not start, go to Step 2.
Step 2. Check the battery.
a. Check the battery voltage. Use a volt-ohmmeter.

Undo retainer strap and remove battery box cover.
