a. Adjust the carburetor without the engine running.
(1)
Turn both needle valves all the way to the right (clockwise) until they gently touch bottom.
(2)
Turn the main fuel needle valve to the left (counterclockwise) two full turns.
(3)
Turn the idle needle valve to the left (counterclockwise) 1-1/4 turns.
b. Adjust the carburetor while the engine is running.
(1)
Start the engine.
(2)
Turn the main fuel needle valve to the right (clockwise) until the engine slows down,
(3)
Turn the main fuel needle valves back to the left (counterclockwise) until the engine slows down.
(4)
Turn the main fuel needle valve back to the right to a position halfway between the slow down points.
