Unscrew switch fromswitch support and remove.(2) To install new door tamper switch, screw switch intoswitch support. Solder wires. Position switch andsupport on outer enclosure. Install tamper switchsupport mounting screws.(3) To remove pry-off tamper switch, remove mountingscrews from tamper switch bracket. Remove snap onbutton cap. Remove hex nut and push switch throughswitch bracket. Tag wires. Use a soldering iron of 50watts maximum to unsolder wires. Remove pry-offtamper switch.(4) To install new pry-off tamper switch, solder wires andposition switch in switch bracket. Install hex nut andsnap on button cap. Position switch and switch bracketon inner enclosure mounting bracket and installmounting screws.f. Defectivea.Set multimeter to dc volts. Connect positive meter lead tocapacitor.P1-12 and negative meter lead to TB2-2.b.If the meter indicates 6 +0.5 vdc, turn power switch S3 toPOWER OFF.c.Turn off power switch S3. Set multimeter to ohms. Connectleads to inner enclosure and outer enclosure. Ensure thatgood contact is made, as paint will act as an insulator.Reverse the multi-meter leads and note indications in bothdirections.d.If the highest multimeter indication is less than 9,500 ohms,remove P2 from J2 while checking enclosures with themultimeter.5-14
