Remove switch andmounting bracket together. Becareful not to lose switch arm be-cause it is not secured to switchshaft. Remove spacer and lockfrom door so no items will be lost.Remove small hex nut and lockwasher that secures mounting brac-ket and switch stop to switch shaft.Remove mounting bracket andswitch stop. Note that modeswitch is a three deck switch. Tagwires and use soldering iron of 50watts maximum to remove themfrom switch terminals.(2) To install new mode switch, use a sold-ering iron of 50 watts maximum toconnect wires to switch terminals.Slip mounting bracket and switchstop over switch shaft. Ensure thatnotch in mounting bracket fits overtab on switch body, and that thetang on switch stop engages notchin mounting bracket. Secure brac-ket and stop to switch with lockwasher and small hex nut. Insertlock through hole in CU door, andslip spacer over lock. Slip switcharm over switch shaft. Ensure thatarm is aligned with tang on switchstop. Place large hex nut insideswitch mounting bracket; slip brac-ket over lock. Engage switch shaftin lock. Tighten nut to secureswitch.i.If both meter indications in step g are cor-rect, turn off switch S1 on top ofpower supply and remove PC boards5-68
