Re-move small hex nut and lock wash-er that secures mounting bracketand switch stop to switch shaft.Remove mounting bracket andswitch stop. Note that modeswitch is a three deck switch. Tagwires and use a soldering iron of50 watts maximum to removethem from switch terminals.(2) To install new mode switch, usea soldering iron of 50 watts maxi-mum to connect wires to switchterminals. Slip mounting bracketand switch stop over switch shaft.Ensure that notch in mountingbracket fits over tab on switchbody, and that the tang on switchstop engages notch in mountingbracket. Secure bracket and stopto switch with lock washer andsmall hex nut. Insert lock throughhole in CU door; slip spacer over5-32
