TESTING
(1)
Install compression gage (1) in spark plug hole (2).
(2)
Crank engine several times with recoil starter (3).
(3)
Check measured compression. Measured compression should be 85-121 psi (6.0-8.5 kg/cm).
(4)
If compression reading is abnormal, replace engine (para 4-19).
