Drain the fuel tank.
(1)
Close the fuel tank valve if possible.
(2)
Pinch the hose with the forefinger and thumb and disconnect the fuel line from the carburetor.
(3)
Open the valve and drain the gasoline into a container.
(4)
If gasoline drains thru the fuel tank valve, go to Step 9.
(5)
If gasoline does not drain thru the valve, go to Step 8b.

Remove the valve from the fuel tank and check it for plugging.

Remove the fuel line from the valve.
