Hold a screwdriver point across the open breaker points.

Remove the screwdriver from the breaker points.

If a bright blue spark jumps between the wire and the engine, the coil is ok. Go to Step 6.

If there is no spark or the spark is weak and yellow, the coil is weak. Replace it and go to Step
5e, if the condenser and the points check ok.
