If there is a bright blue spark, go to Step 9.

If there is no spark, or the spark is weak and yellow, replace the spark plug and go to Step 3.
e. Start the engine.

If the engine starts, the problem is solved.

a. Check the battery with a volt-ohmmeter.

Connect the positive (+) meter lead to the positive (+) battery pole.
(2)
Connect the negative (-) meter lead to the negative (-) battery pole and set the meter on volts.
