EQUIPMENT (TMDE), AND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT.
4-1. GENERAL. No unit level maintenance (operator, crew, organization) is authorized for the TAP Ensemble.
Section II. SERVICE UPON RECEIPT
4-2. SERVICE UPON RECEIPT OF MATERIEL.
a.
Unpacking. The TAP Ensemble components, will be packaged in shipping containers conforming to PPP-B-636,
placed on 4-way entry pallets in accordance with load type IAW MIL-STD-147. Bonding will be with primary and
secondary straps. Upon receipt, check for damage. Report any damage to the carrier and your supervisor.
CAUTION
Unpack components carefully. Improper or hasty handling may result in damage to the TAP Ensemble
components.
(1)
Cut and remove retaining straps holding containers to pallet. Remove containers from wooden pallet.
(2)
Open the containers, remove padding material, and contents. Do not cut, rip, or otherwise damage the
heat sealed bags.
(3)
Do not open garment packages until prior to use.
b.
Shipping Material. Save the shipping crate and any padding material for reuse, when possible.
c.
Checking Unpacked Equipment. Inspect the unpacked components for damage, completeness, and application
of applicable Modification Work Orders (MWOs) as follows:
