Resistance > 150 ohms?
replace pickup.
Yes
Check for continuity between each
pin to metal case of pickup.
Yes
Replace pickup.
No
Install insulated jumper between terminals 2 & 3
(TP1 & TP2) on EPG control unit.
Apply DC power.
Actuator goes full stroke (tachometer indicates
1400 to 1500 RPM) and DC voltage measured at
terminals 4(+) & 5(-) is within 3 v of supplied
voltage (24 VDC).
Turn power off.
No
Measure actuator coil resistance.
Actuator full stroke &
2.3 +/-0.4 ohms
voltage reads corectly?
Resistance within limit?
No
Governor still not operating.
