If an inflightemergency occurs, the PDU may be jettisoned at the pilot's discretion.RECOMMENDATION TO HELICOPTER PILOTThe pilot must be briefed not to arm the external cargo electrical release switch. A second switch, thecargo release off arm switch located on the miscellaneous panel, which arms the external cargoelectrical release switch, should be monitored by the co-pilot during spray operations.
