Remove breather, seal, and filter. If the filter is dirty or plugged, replace it.

Replace gaskets as necessary.
(4)
Reassemble breather assembly. Make sure valve cover is sealed tightly and
does not leak.

c. Check engine compression.
NOTE
Because the automatic compression release does not release until the
engine reaches 600 rpm, there is a special compression test procedure
for this engine.

Start engine and run it for fifteen minutes.
