Check the maintenance tag to ensure the absorbent canister is filled with fresh absorbent. If absorbent is not
fresh, refer to paragraph 3-10.2 to replace it.
3-10.2 Service.
WARNING
Suffocation Hazard. The rebreather absorbent canister must be properly filled with C02 absorbent for the
rebreather to operate properly. If the absorbent, canister is not filled with fresh absorbent, C02 will not be
removed from the breathing air and the user will suffocate.
