The Control Unit (fig. 1-1 and 1-2)consists of a steel enclosure, a power supply, a batteryfor emergency operation, a status processor, associatedcontrols, and input/output terminal boards. Theenclosure also contains mounting provisions for the DataTransmitter T-1257/FSS-9(V) (not part of the ControlUnit). The Control Unit is the central control element ofJ-SIIDS.
