TM 5-3740-218-13&PTable 5-1. Direct Support Troubleshooting (Cont)MalfunctionTest or InspectionCorrective Action2. NO HYDRAULIC PRESSURE TO PRIMARY MANIFOLD.Check for defective hydraulic pump.•If hydraulic pump is excessively noisy, replace hydraulicpump (para 5-8).3. UNABLE TO MAINTAIN HYDRAULIC PRESSURE IN PRIMARY MANIFOLD.Step 1. Check for defective pressure gage.•If hydraulic pressure is present at primary manifold but gagehas no indication, replace pressure gage (para 5-10).Step 2. Check for defective primary manifold solenoid.•With multimeter set to ohms scale, measure resistancebetween solenoid terminals. Reading should be 4-10 ohms. Ifreading is less than 4-10 ohms, replace solenoid (para 5-10).Step 3. Check for operation of flow regulator.•If unable to adjust flow, replace flow regulator (para 5-10).Step 4. Check for defective primary manifold.•If pressure drops steadily on pressure gage, repair or replaceprimary manifold (para 5-10).4. NO PRESSURE/UNABLE TO MAINTAIN HYDRAULIC PRESSURE IN SECONDARY MANIFOLD.Step 1. Check for defective hydraulic pressure gage.•If hydraulic pressure is present at secondary manifold butgage has no indication, replace pressure gage (para 5-9).Step 2. Check for defective secondary manifold solenoid.•With multimeter set to ohms scale, measure resistancebetween solenoid terminals. Reading should be 8-9 ohms. Ifreading is less than 8-9 ohms, replace solenoid (para 5-9).Step 3. Check for operation of flow regulator.•If unable to adjust flow, replace flow regulator (para 5-9).5-5
