Disconnect the throttle linkage and remove the carburetor from the engine.
NOTE
To remove the carburetor from the engine, it is necessary to loosen one mounting screw, then the
other. Pull the carburetor away from the engine and loosen each screw again. Repeat this
procedure until the carburetor can be removed from the engine.

Inspect the carburetor to manifold gasket. If it is cracked, broken, or damaged, replace it and go
to Step 1d.
