1-6. LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION OF MAJOR COMPONENTS
SHIPPING AND STORAGE CONTAINER (1). Used to store SCAITS components between train-
ing sessions. Cardboard packing (2) protects components from damage.
HOLDERS (3). Can be removed from shipping container and used as holders during training
sessions.
TECHNICAL MANUAL (4). Provided with each SCAITS. TM should be kept with SCAITS at all
times.
TEST BOTTLES (5). Eight empty bottles used to hold samples of simulants during training with
M18A2 detector kit. Each bottle is marked either H, CK, CX, G, V, L, AC, or CG. Bottles have
colored rnarkings to match colored markings on detector tubes in M18A2 detector kit.
LIQUID AGENT SWAN-ANTS (6). Three bottles, each holding a different type of simulant. Each
bottle is retied either G, V, or H.

VAPOR- AGENT SIMULANTS (7). Nine boxes, each holding 50 vials. Each box holds one type of
simulant is marked on the box and on each vial. Vials have colored markings to match
colored markings on detector tubes in M18A2 detector kit.
SHIPPING AND STORAGE CONTAINER LID (8). Is secured to top of shipping container using
lever locking ring (9).
