1-9.2 Ice Vest. The ice vest is worn under the encapsulating protective suit with the rebreather system to provide
cooling capabilities to the operator. Water, cooled by frozen gel packs or ice, is circulated through the ice vest by an 8-
volt battery powered centrifugal pump. The pump can be manually activated by an on/off switch and cooling can be
adjusted to a comfortable level by manually operating a regulating valve that controls the flow of chilled water through
the vest. The ice vest has adjustable straps so a comfortable fit can be achieved by all users. A drain valve is provided
to drain the ice vest after use.
